Cotton Buds
The controversial cotton bud question.
Generally speaking, no, you should never put anything into your ear, especially a cotton bud.
If you are desperately, desperately wanting to clean something out of your ear, use the tip of your finger and just give it a gentle wiggle around, and then book a consultation to come and see me.
But with regards to putting anything into the ear canal, it's definitely a no.
Because what you can do is if you have wax in there already that's causing the irritation, it can push it further down into the ear canal, and then you've got impacted wax, which is a whole new problem.
